Amizhthu, a Tenkasi-based cloud kitchen, needed an online ordering system during the COVID-19 pandemic. I designed and developed a responsive e-commerce platform with custom HTML/CSS/JS and integrated it with local delivery partners.

Process
Research & Discovery – Conducted competitor research on local food delivery platforms and cloud kitchens. Interviewed potential users, especially IT employees, to understand their preferences for healthy, convenient meals. Developed personas to guide design and ordering flows.
Information Architecture & UX Design – Created intuitive navigation for browsing meal options, customizing orders, and scheduling deliveries. Optimized the flow to minimize clicks and reduce friction for first-time users.
Visual & UI Design – Developed a high-fidelity 140+ screen UI emphasizing freshness, homemade quality, and healthiness. Designed custom graphics, typography, and color schemes to reflect the brand’s personality and values.
Web Development & Integration – Built a responsive platform using HTML/CSS/JS and integrated APIs with local delivery partners for real-time order tracking. Ensured smooth performance across devices and implemented features like order history and repeat ordering.
Testing & Iteration – Conducted usability testing with early customers to identify friction points in ordering and delivery tracking. Iterated designs based on feedback to ensure clarity, efficiency, and user delight.
